This Project will be undertaken to produce a compendium of existing instruments in APEC economies that monitor, evaluate and control land-based sources of waste which contribute to marine debris. The expected outcomes of this exercise are to:

1) Guide future policy development and generate potential concrete actions; and

2) Advance collaborative work to protect the marine environment.

This exercise will be developed through means of research and a direct survey to APEC economies. These will be conducted by the APEC Policy Support Unit (PSU). The key findings will then be presented to the 13^th OFWG Meeting during SOM3 (August 2019).
