Project Summary

In support of the APEC Services Competitiveness Roadmap (ASCR), APEC economies have been developing the APEC Services Index to provide information on the regulatory environment for services trade in the APEC region. The APEC Services Index is a valuable tool to help economies identify, assess, and reform policies that impede regional services competitiveness. As the APEC region holds unique contexts, interests, and challenges to services competitiveness, APEC economies must be equipped with the knowledge and skills to apply the APEC Services Index in regionally relevant use-cases in order to achieve three targets of the ASCR: effectively reduce restrictions, increase services exports from APEC economies, and increase trade in services in the region. This project consists of a toolkit and capacity building workshop to offer tailored support to help APEC economies apply the APEC Services Index in regionally relevant use-cases.
