To address global challenges, the concept of bioeconomy, circular economy and green economy (BCG) has been introduced as a key to sustainability. It can create great value to businesses, thus boosting the economy, and contribute to social equality by improving income and wealth distribution. As economies around the world are embracing the BCG concept and moving forcefully with various platforms to facilitate and support the implementation in all processes - ranging from research & innovation to technology management and commercialization - and collaboration at local and APEC levels, the BCG has been identified as one of the focused topics of APEC 2022 hosted by Thailand. The National Science and Technology Development Agency, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (NSTDA-MHESI) will host the “BCG Economy Thailand 2022: Tech to Biz” on 10-12 October 2022. The forum aims to promote Thailand's BCG concept and plan relevant to APEC economic policy and also the PPSTI Strategic Plan 2016-2025, which aims to achieve innovative economic growth by 2025. The PPSTI’s mission is therefore to support the S&T cooperation and STI policy recommendation in APEC through various activities among APEC economies. The forum will also support the key deliverable of Bangkok Goals on BCG, as well as to bring together all sectors ranging from business and industry, to research institute and policymaker to share the idea of BCG, networking, and business.
