The United States will develop an APEC blueprint to guide in the implementation of good regulatory practices (GRPs) through specific policies, institutional arrangements, processes, technologies and tools.
The blueprint is intended to spur the uptake of specific regulatory practices that will enable APEC economies and their citizens to grow and thrive in the decades ahead. The project builds on APEC’s long experience and many GRP resources while focusing on new technological tools that can facilitate regulatory processes and regulatory flexibility measures that support innovation and growth. The blueprint will support implementation of the Putrajaya Vision and Pillar 1 of the Enhanced APEC Agenda for Structural Reform (EAASR).
Work will take place in the SCSC as lead for the 2023 GRP Conference, first with a policy dialogue on the margins of SCSC 1, followed by circulation of the blueprint for economies to review, and launch of the blueprint during the 16th GRP Conference planned to take place during SOM 3.
