Project Summary

The APEC Entrepreneurship Education Program (AEEP) 2022 theme is “Next-generation Enterprise to re-balance inequalities in the APEC region.”

The program will invite college students from APEC member economies and provide educational contents on social entrepreneurship in APEC. The overall program will be conducted both on- and off-line. The participating students are grouped into teams and share their ideas and lessons with social entrepreneurs in APEC as mentors.

In the middle of the program, there will be immersion period, where students develop their own social entrepreneur business model to solve social problems in APEC. At the end of the program, the students make team presentations about their business model before judges as the final outcomes.

The AEEP aims to foster individual students’ capacity building such as business analysis, planning, communication skills and etc. With individual assignments and team project, the students are equipped with competencies and skills required in the globalized and digitalized era. By doing so, ultimately, the program aims to contribute to broaden the next-generation entrepreneurship ecosystem by inviting the stakeholders and initiate start-ups to solve social problems in the region.
