| During the past two years, the COVID-19 pandemic has caused significant impact on cross-regional talent cultivation and educational exchange. In order to restore and enhance regional cooperation and to push forward educational and economic growth, this project aims to accelerate innovative education development and human capital cultivation by strengthening the stakeholder partnerships and promoting high-quality education in the digital age. This project also proposes to host a meaningful forum to discuss how to facilitate student mobility and to innovate education in the post pandemic time. |
This project fulfills multiple APEC goals and strategic outcomes, as outlined clearly in this proposal, including the 2022 theme of “Restoring Connectivity in All Dimensions” and the 2020 theme of “Driving innovative sustainability Digital Economy and Technology” with its emphasis on digital competency enhancement, educational adjustability, and regional education cooperation. Furthermore, as the outbreak of COVID-19 has challenged education development and academic mobility, this project will address these issues by sharing solutions and practices that have proven effective in maintaining quality teaching and learning. This project will deliver a collaborative platform for continuous productive discussions and best practice sharing on high-quality education reform and human capital cultivation. Together these will contribute to innovation and collaborative connectivity, and importantly inclusive growth and economic prosperity in the APEC region.
