Project Summary

The world is hyperconnected, meaning that social issues faced by a region are not confined to only that region. The lower internet penetration of women in the world deteriorates the situation.

“ALCom Phase 2” would ameliorate the situation by school-to-school exchange and ICT training targeting teachers, learners, university students, especially females in developing economies. Also, to promote closer cooperation between economies, the project is to share results of outstanding cases and relevant data collected with the whole APEC, in a form of newsletter. The letter would be a guidebook for teachers and university students interested in participation in global education cooperation activities. Besides, the letter would be helpful for government officials to make policies on global education cooperation. Relevant data collected would be a foundation for standardizing best practices, spreading out to other economies.

Throughout the projects, all participants can enhance not only their global, ICT competencies, but teaching and learning skills.
