Project Summary

Gender-specific health issues, such as menstruation and menopause, hamper woman’s ability to succeed in a corporate career. While the symptoms from the issue could severely affect woman’s job performances, unawareness of such issues in corporate culture and policies often become obstacles for woman to pursue their career. Thus, it is important to raise awareness of such gender-specific health issues in workplace and encourage the innovation in products and services that provide solutions to improve women healthcare. FemTech, the emerging idea and industries which refers to products or services that harness technologies to provide solutions to women’s health issues, contribute to encourage women to care themselves and facilitate corporates’ understanding of issues and give women support. The objective of the project is to organize a seminar to share best practices around FemTech products/services, raise corporate awareness of gender-specific health issues, explore how social/cultural difference influence perspectives on women’s health issues and identify what kind of support to help woman to pursue their career.
