Echoing the APEC 2022 Priority, “Advancing Sustainable and Inclusive Growth: utilization of the Bio-, Circular-, and Green (BCG) Economy Model…” and in response to the joint statement of the 27th SME Ministerial Meeting that calls to support efforts to create an enabling environment for MSMEs to engage in innovative, environmentally sustainable practices and activities, this project aims to address the opportunities and challenges arise from sustainability and green growth trends, as well as to share guidelines and policy tools for stimulating APEC MSMEs to adopt low-carbon business mindset especially via carbon credit market.
This self-funded project consists of a seminar in a hybrid format that will 1) produce narratives that increase understanding on the opportunities and challenges of BCG adoption for SMEs, 2) share guidelines and policy tools for promote SMEs to utilize the opportunity from BCG trends such as circular economy, and carbon credit market.
