Project Summary

APEC economies continue to face serious environmental challenges, including climate extremes, natural disasters, and pandemic spreading. The crisis of human kind, the COVID-19 pandemic, brought the threats but the opportunities toward “new normal” collaboration on disaster risk reduction (DRR) through public private partnership (PPP) over the sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This project attempts to exploring the approach of networking for synergy to achieve sustainability, as well as to build resilience and enhance preparedness against future shocks. This project aimed at reviewing DRR policies and fully discuss the issues and best practices for resilient and sustainable recovery over Covid-19. For extensively engaging regional efforts and institutions, building a smart policy making framework to lead capacity building program is a priority for cross-border PPP under COVID-19 spreading on People’s Well-being, Food and Agriculture Security for Sustainable growth. This project will highlight “Resilience”, “Science & Technology”, “Balance” and “Connectivity” for APEC Resilience City/Community (ARC) over Covide-19 to contribute the APEC family as a whole of society.
