Project Summary

Under existing projects (GOS 07 2020S APEC Professional and Skilled Services Gateway - An Inventory on Mutual Recognition Agreements and GOS 08 2020S APEC Mutual Recognition Online Workshops - Digital Credentialing of Professional and Skilled Services Providers) a training package has been developed to a) improve participants’ understanding of Mutual Recognition Agreements (MRAs) and their benefits; and b) share best practice on digital credentialing and licensure to better facilitate the international mobility of professional and skilled service providers.  Building on the materials already developed, under this new project facilitated online training courses will promote the value of MRAs, and the value and need to implement new and innovative accreditation credentialing opportunities to better facilitate the movement and cross-border practice of professional services providers.  The project will deliver four online courses, including facilitated workshops, over 2021-22.

Increasing awareness of MRAs and mobility of professional and skilled service providers post-COVID-19 is important for trade, investment and economic recovery.
