Project Summary

This project builds off the development of the Women-Owned Business in Cross-Border E-Commerce: A Diagnostic Toolkit (Toolkit), endorsed by the SMEWG in October 2020. As the next phase of this work, the United States aims to engage volunteer APEC economies to pilot the Toolkit to identify gaps in support for women entrepreneurs and/or women-owned small and medium-sized enterprises ready to or engaging in e-commerce. The project will also include the design and delivery of 1-2 economy-level virtual workshops to build capacity and share best practices on issue areas identified in the Toolkit. Industry partners will be engaged in curriculum development and training activities for export promotion agencies and business associations to better assist women entrepreneurs engage in cross-border e-commerce.
