Micro, Small and Medium sized enterprises (MSMEs) drive economic growth and innovation in APEC economies, and are critical to regional economic recovery.
This project supports Indigenous MSMEs to grow and build resilience through trade, by building practical trade knowledge and skills, and creating a supportive network of Indigenous MSMEs across APEC economies. Training and knowledge-building sessions will cover topics relevant to MSME capacity building and growth, such as: border processes, trade finance, intellectual property rights, e-commerce and branding. It will produce a brief report for APEC on the challenges and opportunities faced by Indigenous businesses.
This project will be delivered by Australia’s Export Council of Australia and industry partners, including Australia’s Indigenous Network for Investment Trade and Export, drawing on the expertise of Indigenous participants from interested APEC economies. Indigenous entrepreneurs and APEC officials are welcome to nominate.
We would welcome funding or in-kind support (e.g. experts, presenters, materials) from interested economies.
