Project Summary

The Facilitation Team Building for the Pioneer Science Leadership Program for Mid-Career Researchers in APEC is a program designed to prepare the facilitators to run the Pioneer Science Leadership Program for Mid-Career Researchers in APEC in 2020 (“APEC SLP”). The APEC SLP is a program for developing the leadership skill set for mid-career science researchers in APEC. It is built on the Science Leadership Program that has been running since 2015 in Africa and 2016 in ASEAN. The ultimate goal of the SLP is to empower mid-career researchers by allowing them to learn skill sets, competencies that are required to respond to emerging challenges and meet the needs of the region. Getting ready for the pioneer APEC SLP in 2020, a five day workshop to train selected facilitators will be organized from July 29- August 2, 2019 in Thailand under APEC 2019 priorities Integration 4.0; and Women, SMEs, and Inclusive Growth.
