Biomass utilization in circular economy industrial park is an effective method to reduce APEC’s aggregate energy intensity by 45% from 2005 levels by 2035.
The project is designed to, through holding case studies, site visit, training and information exchange seminar on biomass energy utilization in Moutai Circular Economy Ecological Industrial Park, raise understanding and awareness of opportunities for biomass energy development within APEC economies; share experience, lessons and opinions on balancing economic, environmental, and social objectives.
The project will help economies promote and facilitate biomass energy utilization in their home economies and help APEC to explore effective and appropriate ways to further develop this renewable energy source.
To effectively conduct this project, one deeply case study will be done within APEC economies. The project will be conducted from July 2018 to December 2018. Financial support for 3 participants will be provided for other economies on first-come, first-served basis.
