Small and Medium Enterprises(SMEs) is the key engine for APEC economic growth and prosperity. This project aims to establish a regional platform for sharing the best practices of promoting the innovation of SMEs and discussing the approaches to overcome bottlenecks that hinder international cooperation of SMEs. 

The main activity of the project is the APEC seminar to be held in Chengdu , China on October 29th and 30th, 2018. The seminar will bring together participants from academia, private sector, government and international organization, who will have an in-depth discussion on STI policies and practices for SMEs on driving innovation and access to the global market, including the integration of SMEs in Global Value Chains (GVC) of the Asia-Pacific region.
