Project Summary

This project will establish a relationship between the Australasian Veterinary Boards Council Inc. (AVBC), representing Australian and New Zealand Veterinary Statutory Bodies (VSBs), and the Veterinary Council of Thailand (VCT), in its role as lead of the regional VSB forum in SE Asia representing Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Brunei Darussalam and Vietnam. The project will provide support, guidance, training and expertise to develop the capability of the VCT to undertake its responsibilities as a VSB (veterinary registration, veterinary education standards and standards of professional conduct), ensuring that it is fully-compliant with OIE requirements, and its role of promoting the capabilities and aligning the operations of other APEC VSBs within the SE Asian region. It will also ensure the ongoing exchange of expertise and mentoring for the continuous improvement of regional standards.
