Project Summary

This dialogue aims to build capacity of government officials, business representatives, civil society organizations (CSO) and academia on CSR best practices in supply chains to promote legal trade of forest products. The dialogue will focus on: A number of key topics ranging from key actors and their role in forest products supply chains to incentive policies for robust CSR implementation; A dedicated training session on incentive policy development to encourage CSR implementation for responsible sourcing and supply chain risk management; and, moderated panel discussions on CSR policies, case studies and best practice models. The dialogue will result in an APEC CSR Best Practice Document in the trade of forest products to serve as an information and decision support tool for stakeholders. This dialogue identifies further collaboration with the following fora: CTI, ACTWG, SCCP, SMEWG, IEG, EPWG, MAG. This will be held on the Margins of SOM3 in Port Moresby, PNG.
