Project Summary

The proposed high-level dialogue on Inclusive Business (IB) by government officials and private sector executives across the Asia-Pacific region aims to drum up the promotion and practice of inclusive business in APEC economies.  Through this project, participants will learn the best practices on inclusive business in the region. Actual business opportunities that can significantly impact the base-of-the-pyramid (BoP) may be presented to participating businesses as potential inclusive business project engagements.  The project aims as well to provide a venue for knowledge exchange among business leaders from APEC economies on their respective policies and initiatives in support of inclusive business.  The project responds to the recommendations in the comprehensive report of the “Inclusive Business in APEC Study” (IEG 01 2016S).

The dialogue between government and private sector leaders is proposed to be held in Manila, Philippines in November 2018.  The event will be organized in collaboration with ABAC and other business associations in the region.
