Australia will host a technical Education Data Workshop, facilitated by the OECD, gathering together data experts, government and education sector representatives from APEC member economies, to share and learn from best practice in education data collection in the APEC region.
To support greater APEC education data capacity and to monitor education outcomes more generally, APEC economies will benefit from drawing on OECD expertise, methodologies and approaches to produce key indicators which may be used in monitoring progress through the APEC Education Strategy Action Plan, and the APEC Report on Education and Economic Development. The project will also support economies’ efforts to report on progress towards the UN SDGs.
The workshop will be held in Canberra, Australia, in the second half of 2018. Australia will fund the participation of one data expert and one EDNET representative from travel eligible economies.
