Project Summary

This workshop is expected to facilitate information exchanges and discussions regarding (A) District heating/cooling facilities data in APEC, (2) Energy efficiency indicators and the APEC energy efficiency indicators template, (3) New and renewable energy statistics and the APEC NRE doubling goal and (4) Challenges in improving the Joint Organizations Data Initiative (JODI) data (5) Other relevant issues (e.g. results of other APEC workshops on energy statistics by Mexico (Energy Statistical and Geographical Information Systems, EWG16 2016A) between member economies, international organizations and the of APEC Expert Group on Energy Data and Analysis (EGEDA) Secretariat.

The participants are also expected to enhance their understanding on energy statistics for district heating/cooling, energy efficiency and NRE.

A summary record of the workshop will be produced and shared with EGEDA and EWG members, and uploaded at the EGEDA website.
