Project Summary

SMEs in creative industries would increase their competitiveness in the global marketplace through IP commercialization.  As one of the most common tools for IP commercialization, licensing of IP assets could enable creative industries to fully exploit their economic value and facilitate cross-sector commercialization.

This project aims to build SMEs’ capacity in creative industries and to promote best practices of IP licensing as their IP commercialization strategies so as to add value not only to their companies, but the regional economy.  A 2-day workshop will be organized to share knowledge on the latest development of licensing by experts and representatives from public and private sectors of Hong Kong, China, Mexico and Korea and illustrate successful licensing cases in creative industries.  The workshop will be held in Hong Kong, China in June or September of 2018.
