Project Summary

This project will identify means of achieving APEC-wide improvement goals in the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) areas of “Getting Credit” and “Enforcing Contracts”.  This project will undertake deeper and more comprehensive analyses of individual APEC economies by examining the alignment of their economic and legal infrastructure with model texts adopted by the United National Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) and the Hague Conference.  These analyses will be shared within APEC for internal informational purposes and could serve as the basis for follow-on capacity building activities with interested economies. The analyses themselves will not be made public.
