The project aims to introduce APEC member economies to practices and experiences on applications of Big Data in international trade, interpret recent developments in international trade, and study recent developments in the area of international trade. In addition, feedback and suggestions from the Seminar will feature in subsequent recommendations to APEC on a potential future Work-Plan dedicated to trade development in the APEC region through the application of the Big Data process.
The 2016 Seminar will be held in Taipei on 6 and 7 October, with discussions on the first day and a field trip on the second. The Seminar will be held concurrently with the 2016 E-Commerce Expo Asia in Taipei, which will be showcasing new trends and the application of Big Data in international trade. At the same time, it provides a valuable opportunity for participants to interact with Big Data companies.
