Project Summary

The project aims to study and pilot a sustainability measurement and reporting system (SMRS), in order to help public and private buyers to evaluate the product sustainability from suppliers and their sustainability performance.  It will be based on scientific methodologies, life cycle analysis (LCA)and supply chain management experience, and develop a full set of economic, environmental and social indicators with corresponding solution recommendations, which will be represented via a user-friendly IT-based questionnaire (KPIs) &scorecard interface for use.

GPT will be an innovative approach of switching traditional one-one into many-many reporting way, through which both buyers and suppliers will be able measure and improve their product sustainability as well as reach out new qualified partners at a lower cost,. It will also provides a platform for sustainability related data sharing across the supply chain. The project will include two major parts: research and piloting GPT with 1-2 product category.
