Project Summary

The project aims to call on APEC member economies to co-establish a new service platform based on the existing technology matching platform (www.joinew.com) which was developed by the proposing economy and has been put into operation for almost a year, in order to facilitate technology commercialization and further development of SMEs within APEC member economies and beyond.

During the whole project period, policy makers, experts and stakeholders from SMEs will conduct domestic or overseas surveys to collect information and acquire advanced experience. Video meetings will be held to discuss how to remove the barriers in the process of technology commercialization and achieve the upgrading of the online platform to serve the SMEs in the Asia-Pacific region better.

We are planning to build service sites in several APEC member economies. Experts will be invited to participate in the establishment of the service sites, provide suggestions and submit a concluding report after the project completes. APEC member economies are expected to promote the service platform to help with the development of its own SMEs and attain innovative development, interconnected growth and shared interests.
